The Yamaha YPG-535 88-key portable grand keyboard is ideally apt for intermediate level piano players, who have been playing the piano-keyboard for a while now.
If you don’t have the budget for a $1000 plus keyboard, then this is something that you could consider.
You can use the yamaha ypg535 to create music, or for learning to play the piano.
Don't intend to start another Yamaha vs Casio debate and I do like Yamaha keyboards, but this is my experience with the ypg535. For some reason I didn't like the sound at all. It doesn't sound good at all. My Casio ctk-5000 sounds much better and fuller.
I intend to give it back and most probably I'll go for the Casio PX-330, which is just too good for the price it quotes. Guys, do try out the Casio PX-330.

Yamaha YPG-535 ? Good for Beginners by: Yamaha YPG-535 ? Good for Beginners
Don't want to say it's a great product just because it's a Yamaha. To be frank it's a good keyboard for beginners and good enough to be played at home.
The key touch is light; the foot pedal is okay, so not a great keyboard for performance.
Overall it's a good keyboard if you intend to learn, or just for fun if you don't have a decent budget.

Yamaha YPG-535 Review by: Nero
Before the Yamaha DGX-640 keyboard came along, this was one of the better choices at this price range. It still is a pretty good product for someone who is an intermediate level player and can't afford something that costs above $1000.
If you use usually the built-in sequencer of a keyboard, then you would have preferred more tracks. The styles are good but I would have liked to see more variety.
But overall, looks sleek and is a good product considering the number of voices and styles that are available.
