Yamaha PSR s910 keyboard Review

by Suresh

Yamaha PSR s910 keyboard review – The successor to the hugely popular PSR s900 arranger workstation, this is one of the most powerful arrangers from Yamaha, next to the Tyros.

If you can't afford the Tyros, the psrs910 is the next best option to sound as if you're backed by the hottest session players around.

Yamaha psr s910, psr s900

You will appreciate the accompaniment styles which lets you sound fully arranged with little or no setup required.

It's also easy to call up ideal setups (Voice, Style, etc.) for each Song. Select one of the several song titles available as per your choice and you will get the style, tempo, variation, and right-hand voices instantly set using the Music finder feature.

If you're a performing keyboardist, then you will also like the 7.7-inch full color LCD screen of the PSR-S910, as you can easily keep a tab on all your selections.

All I could wish for
by: Sharpy

I have had all kinds of keyboards over the years, my last being a PSR 3000. The Yamaha PSR-s910 is everthing I could wish for. I can record, sing, be backed and find something different every day on this keyboard. It sounds great and sets it's self at a touch of button for most songs I like to play. Good karaoke set up for parties. What better way to get away from the Soaps on TV.

PSR S910 - a Poor Man's Tyros!
by: Gene

I have two Yamaha PSR S910s. I serve two churches. One PSR stays put; the other one moves around. When I change sounds on one of them, I can back it up to my flash drive, go to the other one and restore. Very easy! They are both always the same. I started with a PSR 500m many years ago.

Would I buy a Tyros? Of course, if I had the money, but I think I'll be happy with the S910 for a long time to come.

Yamaha PSR s910
by: Jigs

It all depends on what you want to use your keyboard for. I like the Yamaha psr-s910 and would definitely have bought it had I not bought the Tyros 2 a few years ago. At that time I really felt I had to get it but I guess I would have done fine with psr-s900 as well.

Need more on the Yamaha PSR s-910
by: Turk

I have seen this board and though it sounds good, for the price it quotes it should be definitely providing more.

It needs to have - better editing, sampling capability, and more features to tweak the various voices.

Things like Internet connection, mp3 and TFT screen are good but they push the price up and offer no real value. Mp3 and TFT screen are available nowadays on dvd players as well, the cheapest ones cost around 60 dollars.

Bottom-line is this keyboards needs to be cheaper!!!

Yamaha psrs910 is Amazing
by: Kirk

Bought the psr-s910 last Jan and am quite amazed by the performance of this workstation. Why just performance, its great for creating your music as well, and its so easy to get your song on any media.

You can play, sing & record on a USB stick, which you then stick on to the computer and you have everything on your laptop/computer. From there you can upload to a site, write to a CD or just make mp3 and copy on your iPod/iPhone/iPad.

Amazing instrument from Yamaha...

Yamaha psr-s910 - Best for playing acoustic instruments
by: Pan

IMO, after the Tyros, the sprs910 is the only keyboard that lets you play acoustic instruments with all its nuances. There are about 38 super articulation voices which are a treat.

So if you select guitar, you can also mimic fret bending strumming, sliding and body tap voices that most guitarists do.

In addition, with features like vocal harmony and Mic connection, you can easily record or perform live. It's a superb keyboard for performing.

Yamaha PSR 900 vs PSR 910
by: Pix

I own a Yamaha PSR 900 but I don't think there is any difference between my keyboard and the psr910. Except for may be the color screen and the MP3 player.

So I guess if I have to upgrade, it has to be the Tyros. I better start saving now ;)
