This is a rest which nicely fits in the designated slot in your Yamaha portable grand digital piano. Once fixed, you can place your music sheets and books on the music-rest, and play the piano piece from there.
Knowing how to use this keyboard accessory is important, because it gives you access to some important software programs, which you can install on your computer.
Once these software programs are on your computer, you can download different songs, voices, musical styles from the internet (via your computer).
Note: You will find the above mentioned keyboard accessories with the Yamaha Portable Grand Pianos in the lower end of the YPG / DGX series. For example, the DGX-630 / YPG-635 will give you the above yamaha keyboard accessories.
But the following accessories will only be available with the higher-end models in the YPG / DGX series. For example the DGX-630 / YPG-635 yamaha portable grand digital piano should contain all the following Yamaha accessories.
This is a sturdy digital piano stand, which you will need to support your Yamaha portable piano!
A footswitch pedal for sustaining the notes you play! Some players do not like footswitch pedals, so if you are one of them, you may choose to buy the regular sustain pedal for a better grip.
You will also get a power adapter depending on your piano model (something that is recommended by Yamaha)
