The motif rack is a great piece. It sounds great and I recommend that if you are thinking of buying it, don't think any more, just go ahead and buy it.

Motif XS Rack - Piano sounds are dissapointing by: Christomres
I had purchased the Motif XS Rack for the piano sounds and I am very dissapointed with it. Even the 128 polyphonic notes cannot be played at once, it is the polyphonic "elements" that can be played at once. So, I am not at all happy and will be looking at changing It soon.

I got a chance to play the Motif Rack XS and I loved it. The string and drums sample on it are awesome but the piano is not so impressive.

The Motif Rack is best for live performances but if you are trying to make music or sequence with it, then it is not possible.
