I believe that as long as you format the hard drive to 16bit, we should have no trouble getting the Technics kn to read the drive or am i talking rubbish... anyone.

Just seen the sd card notice can anyone give me any info on this..

I have tried Technics kn3000 keyboard using a hard disk. It worked. After a hard drive installation on-screen display menu should launch hard disk load. Now I have developed it to change into kn3000 sdcard.

Technics KN Keyboard - Format Hard Drive
by: Suresh

Here is a user manual for the KN 2000. On page 111, you will find instructions on how to initialize the KN 2000.

I am assuming the steps should be the same for all the Technics keyboards, so try it for your keyboard too. Hopefully, it should work.

Another thing that lot of users of Technics KN Keyboards have observed is that if you format a Hard Drive, SD Card or Floppy using a computer instead of the Technics keyboard itself, the Technics KN keyboard may not always read the data back.

So always try to format using your Technics KN keyboard, and from time to time frequently take backups of your data on a floppy or SD Card.
