Roland KC 550 Keyboard Amp

Roland KC 550 Keyboard Amp

Had tried out both the Roland KC-550 and the KC-350 keyboard amplifiers when I was looking around for a keyboard amp. Though the kc350 looks small it does pack some power in it (120 Watts). It is easy to setup and the bass sound is really good.

I chose to go in with the Roland kc550 because of its built-in 4-channel mixing feature, which basically helps me to expand the feature set even further going further. The increased power (180 Watts) also helped me to make the choice in its favor.

An icing on the cake would have been the ability to switch the amps from 110 volt to 220 volts. It's common for musicians to tour and perform abroad nowadays. Surprising that Roland did not this feature in the Roland kc550.

Nevertheless, I think the Roland KC-550 keyboard amp is a great buy for the price.

Roland kc550 and kc350 Amps Review
by: Jigs

The kc-350 is the successor to the kc-300. It?s more powerful, has a smoother response and a bit affordable now.

The kc-550 on the other hand is much more powerful, has a 4-channel mixer, and the EQ and signal routing makes the kc550 much more appealing.

Roland KC-350 Keyboard Amp Review

I agree that the Roland KC Keyboard Amps can be used in more than one ways. I have a Roland KC-350 amp that I use to play as part of a band. But then I use it for other purposes as well.

One is for listening to my mixes that I create on my computer.

Another excellent use of the kc350 is for a house party. I just connect my iPod and a microphone to the Roland KC-350 amp and you can become the DJ of the party. The iPod sounds amazing through the Roland kc350 amp.

Roland Keyboard kc-550 Amplifier Review

Though I use the kc550 for live performances, I even use it as a monitor for the output from my computer based recording setup.

I have Propellerhead Reason on my computer and I output the sound of my final mix from the Roland KC-550 and it sounds just amazing.
