Problem Keys on my Yamaha KR-500 Digital Music Keyboard

by Mike Orr
(St. Louis, MO - USA)

I have keys that will not play on my Yamaha KR-500 Digital Music Keyboard.

A few key just stopped working, years ago there was service shop that could fix the problem, but they have closed their shop.

So how can I fix this issue or find info on having this keyboard serviced. I've owned this board for over twenty year, still in great condition, outside of those few keys.

Thanks!!!

Rubber Contact / Shorted Board on Yamaha Keyboard
by: Anonymous

To clean the keys of your Yamaha Keyboard...

The part of your unit or the keys have a rubber, that rubber is the reason why your yamaha can give sound.

If the rubber is dusty or dirty you need to clean it by pulling out the rubber from the Yamaha keyboard so that you can clean it.

Yamaha KR-500 Digital Music Keyboard

If the music keyboard is within warranty, Yamaha should fix it. Even otherwise, ask them for an authorized repair center near your area.
