M-Audio Digital Piano Reviews

M-Audio Digital Piano Reviews. Read more on digital pianos from M-Audio.

M-Audio Digital Piano

M-Audio is known more for making professional recording equipments, including some popular keyboard controllers.

But recently, they have started making digital pianos as well and have a range of compact pianos in their inventory.

M-Audio's range of pianos includes compact digital pianos for Studio and Stage, as well as upright pianos for home use.

Comparison with Leading Brands

When it comes to digital piano brands, Yamaha, Casio and Roland seem to be the favourite among musicians, and brands like M-audio are not able to get much attention from users yet.

At the same time it's worth mentioning that, though you can find good piano products from those three brands, there are few piano models from M-Audio that will impress you considering they are quite reasonably priced.

The area where experienced musicians, performers in particular, would like to see improvements in M-audio pianos is their keyboard touch. M-Audio keyboards still need to show some improvement in their action design.

Record Audio and MIDI

M-Audio Digital Home Pianos (DCP Series) come with a built-in USB audio/MIDI interface that lets you record microphones, guitars and other instruments with your PC or Mac. All Home Pianos models also include Sibelius First software, for creating scores.

Good for Recording Tracks

If you use your digital piano more for recording, editing and mixing tracks. If you use it occasionally as a controller, or if you are used to a slightly soft touch key touch, then you can definitely consider M-Audio.

Besides being reasonably priced, these digital pianos interface well with a computer, have weighted keys, and come with a good palette of sounds.

M-Audio's range of pianos include:
  • DCP series upright digital pianos
  • M-Audio Prokeys stage pianos
