Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard Review
I bought my
Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard about a couple of years back and have been very satisfied with the purchase.
I use it mostly for my home based studio, and don’t use it much for onstage performances.
Since it is Korg, the sound is absolutely stunning anyways. Besides, it uses the same engine as some of the top Korg keyboard workstations.
The keys of
Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard are
synth style plastic keys, NOT weighted ones so if you have been used to playing piano, you need to keep that in mind.
Price-wise this is inexpensive compared to some of the front line Korg synth keyboards. That’s because it is
less customizable. The editing, customizing features are not as easy as on the top workstation keyboards including the Triton.
But the
voices are just stunning. The acoustic instrument section, especially the Piano, Organ, Flutes, and strings voices are particularly strong. So if you intend to use classical sounds in your compositions, you will be more than pleased.
I don’t use the Korg X50 for gigs, but then it is portable and sturdy; it will be great for gigs too. I use it mainly for my studio and I think it’s a great synthesizer keyboard, considering the price I paid and the voices that are available (I think they are worth a lot more).
I strongly recommend the
Korg X50 61 Key Music Synthesizer Keyboard.
