Other Musical Instruments
For Children!

Other Musical Instruments for children! Do you want your kids to learn another musical instrument, along with the piano? Find out which musical instruments your kids could probably take up.

Once the kids start getting comfortable on the Piano/Keyboard they might feel like trying their hands on some other musical instrument.

Why Learn Another Musical Instrument?

It could be for various reasons but mostly I have noticed that they want to take up something which is very portable so that they can show their talents easily.

Piano/Keyboards are not very portable; you can display your talents only on certain specific occasions.

Whatever be the reason, if you are a parent, don't get upset when your kid expresses his/her desire to learn another instrument, along with the piano.

There are many other musical instruments for children to take up, and they are easy to learn as well.

Popular Musical Instruments For Kids!

The following are some of the popular musical instruments for kids.

  • Harmonica

  • It is very easy to produce a sound on a harmonica. It is easy to learn as well and is extremely portable. You can easily carry it in your pocket.

  • Flute

  • Flute is another music instrument which can be taken up... and it is a very melodious musical instrument. Initially you might struggle a bit to produce sound from a flute but with little practice it should be easy.

  • Guitar

  • Another great music instrument! You can play melody as well as rhythms on a guitar. You can easily carry it on your shoulders and people do get impressed with it.

  • Drums

  • This is another exciting music instrument which can be taken up. The drawbacks being - it needs more space and can be expensive. Of course, there is the noise factor also which you need to take into account.

  • Singing

  • Perhaps, the best thing to do! It will be a great asset if you can train yourself to be a decent singer. A great combination, if you can play the piano and sing along!

    Conclusion

There are many other musical instruments that can be taken up but the above are some of the musical instruments which, I feel, can be learnt along with the Piano/Keyboard. They are also easy to learn and will complement your piano playing.
