Have Yamaha PSR i425, Want to buy a Yamaha PSR s550b Arranger Keyboard, Any suggestions?

Hi,

Currently I own a Yamaha PSR i425 keyboard, which I bought a couple of years back, mostly because of its features including the Indian based styles.

I am now looking for a new music keyboard and I have shortlisted the Yamaha PSR s550b arranger workstation. My budget is around 30k to 35k rupees.

I am basically looking for a keyboard with much better and realistic sounds, lots of internal memory, and USB connection. The latter features so that I can download and use external styles as well.

Can anybody suggest any other models as well, since I could not come across any other suitable keyboard?

If not, is the Yamaha PSR s550b arranger keyboard a good choice for my requirements?

Thanks
- Sachin

Yamaha PSR i425 to Yamaha PSR s550b Arranger Music Keyboard

If you have been playing on beginner keyboards, be it Casio or Yamaha, then you will be amazed when you play the Yamaha psr-s550. The voices (brass and string instruments) are just too good man. Play on top of any of the accompaniments and you will already feel like a star.

Hi Sachin,

The Yamaha PSR s550b arranger workstation is really a nice keyboard instrument. It is more of an entry-level arranger workstation.

You can see the demo here of the Yamaha PSR s550.

After the Yamaha PSR i425, it is logically the next step up if somebody wants to upgrade to a new keyboard.

Another arranger you may want to consider is the Roland E-09 Arranger Keyboard; even that has some cool voices and styles.
