Gem PS1600 Digital piano - Two keys producing a noisy clicking noise

by Fred
(United States)

I have a Gem PS1600 Digital piano, and need to remove two keys to address a noisy clicking noise.

I removed the contact board underneath the keyboard, and cannot see how to remove the keys. I need to remove 2 black keys, and see why they are making a noise that sounds like plastic hitting on plastic.

There is some kind of hinge mechanism in these keys where the counterweights are attached.

I am confident that if I can take these offending keys out, I will be able to see what the problem is.

I simply cannot see how to get the keys out of the Gem PS1600 piano. I was told they either slide out, or pop out, but cannot see what to do.

Can you advise me on my Gem PS1600 Digital piano?

With Kindest Regards, I Remain,
Fred Baker

Keys on Technics PX 201 Digital Piano make thumping sound
by: Steve

The keys on our PX 201 Technics Digital Piano make a thumping sound as you play. It plays okay, but there is a definite sound that all I can describe as is the keys thumping as you play.
