Electronic Keyboard Piano – The LCD display shows all your selections

Electronic Keyboard Piano - Do you need to be much concerned about the display section of your electronic keyboard or electronic keyboard piano? Probably not!

Most of the electronic keyboards and pianos come with an appropriate display to show you all the relevant information. In certain cases, as mentioned later, you may have to pay attention to the display in more detail.

Simple Keyboard Displays
Most of the entry level instruments have a simple display showing numbers for the various selections like tempo, volume, tone & style number. You may find a similar display on pianos as well as they do not have a lot of features and the display does not have to be very complicated.

LCD Displays
You will find a LCD display in most of the mid range to high range keyboards. It is big enough to pack in a lot of information and it shows a lot of icons for the various selections.

Some displays come with a Contrast control. This is an important feature if you have to play under different lighting conditions.

Backlit displays
You may even consider going in for keyboards with Backlit displays. The advantage being you can see and read the display in darkness. This is not possible in a LCD display.

Note: Some of the recent models now come with a touch screen. Besides, some of them have the option of connecting the instrument to an external Monitor or a TV. This way the score, lyrics and chords can be seen and shared by other people.
