Can I use my Yamaha dgx500 midi piano keyboard with FL Studio?

by Garry
(London)

Hi,

I have recently bought myself a used Yamaha dgx500 midi piano keyboard, and I want to connect it to my computer, to use along with FL Studio.

I don’t have the user-manual or the accessory CD, so I wanted to know if buying just a "1x1 USB Midi Interface" is enough to make the connection work between my Yamaha dgx 500 and the Computer...or do I need to do anything else?

Basically, I want to use my Yamaha dgx500 midi piano keyboard as a midi-controller.

Thanks
- Garry

Can I use USB / MIDI to access other Piano Sounds on a Software Program?
by: George

Ricky,

Yes, you can do that with FL Studio. There's another music production software called Reason from Propellerhead which is also good.

Actually, you can use any software synth or sequencer for this.

Can I use USB / MIDI to access Piano Sounds on a Software Program?

I have a Casio electronic keyboard and am looking for ways to access better piano sounds.

I heard that it is possible to play piano sounds from digital piano software by connecting my Casio keyboard to my computer via USB / MIDI.

Can this music software do that?

Yamaha DGX 500 keyboard with FL Studio?
by: Suresh

The connection should work between your Yamaha dgx500 keyboard and FL Studio, using the "1x1 USB Midi interface".

I guess you will get the instructions on how to make the connection work, when you buy the USB Midi interface.

In case you face any problems, you can download the USB Midi Drivers from this link - USB Midi Drivers.
