Broken power jack on my Yamaha PSR E413 music keyboard

DC power jack

Broken power jack on my Yamaha PSR E413 music keyboard!

I bought my son a PSR E413 Yamaha keyboard last Christmas. He used it with the plug instead of batteries and in order to do this he had to stretch the power cord causing the jack to get loose.

Is there a way to replace this myself or do I need a repair shop to do this?

I do not know of any place in my area that repairs keyboards.

I am enclosing a picture of the jack.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Broken Power DC-Jack on Yamaha PSR Keyboard
by: Anonymous

1. Open your keyboard by using Philips screw driver.
2. Now you see the board locate the jack.
3. Remove the screw and remove also the connectors.
4. Make sure you remember where to put it back.
5. De solder the pins by using soldering iron and soldering pump.
6. Make sure you know how to remove to avoid short circuit from the near parts.
7. When you get the parts go to the electronic parts and buy that parts.
8. After you buy put it back by using soldering iron and soldering lead.
9. I know you can do it

Thank you
