Good piano keyboard for 250 bucks
by: Suresh

Hi Oscar,
I think should start using your existing one for a few months. Touch response is necessary but since you already have one, give it a try for a few months, learn the basics, how to read it on a sheet, learn to play a few songs and then you can decide. If you do well, maybe you can go in for a more expensive one.

For that price, you can go in for the excellent yamaha ypg-235 76 keys keyboard.

Good piano keyboard for around $250.00
by: Oscar (from Puerto Rico)

Gentemen: I am 73 years old and want to learn to play the piano. About 3 years back i bought a Radio Shack 61 key keyboard with no touch sensitivity. Practically i had not used this keyboard. I've read that it is important to have a touch sensitive because it feels more like a piano. I have $250.00 to spend. Some friends say it is not enough money to get a good piano keyboard. According to your expert knowledge, what are you recommendations on getting one with this amount of money? What are your brands recommendations?
Thank you very much.

Best Beginner Arranger Music Keyboard for under $200 US Dollars

It's the Casio SA-76 44 Key Mini Keyboard. So along with the Casio SA75 37-Key Keyboard, you have a couple of keyboards to explore for your kids.

Best Beginner Arranger Music Keyboard for under $200 Dollars
by: Salim

I would definitely choose the Yamaha PSR-E423 if I was looking for a 61 key music keyboard.

For beginners, I think it is a tie between the Casio ctk-2100 and the Yamaha EZ200 61-Key Lighted Keyboards.

I personally prefer a 76-key keyboard (I have played before) and I think the Yamaha YPG-235 is indeed value for money at this price.

The Casio SA75 37-Key Keyboard is for kids. It won't have touch response. But I think they have introduced another model in that size.

I prefer the Yamaha PSR-E323 61-key music keyboard
by: Jay

I did want to go for the Yamaha psr-E423 but then price is a constraint and I really want to stick to budget of under $200. I think the Yamaha PSR-E323 music keyboard is the best in that price range.

I didn't want to go in for a Casio and I wanted a good a touch sensitive keyboard, so i chose the Yamaha PSR-E323.

Yamaha PSR-E423 keyboard is amazing
by: Kenny

For around 20-30 dollars more above $200, you can get a much better sounding keyboard - the Yamaha PSR-E423.

If you have played before, or if you are trying to upgrade from a mini or a lighted keyboard, this is the one to go after.

I own a Yamaha MM-6 and the Kurzweil SP2XS but I still keep this as a backup. It is much easier to use because of its big screen and it comes with digital pads too. In fact for the price, the sounds that you get in the Yamaha PSR-E423 are just too good.

I Prefer the Yamaha EZ-200 lighted keyboard
by: Lee

Just because it is a lighted keyboard, does not mean it is meant for kids. If you don't want the keys to light up, you can simply turn them off with the touch of a button.

I own the Yamaha EZ-200 lighted keyboard and it has some really good selection of sounds and styles. One feature that I like most is the LCD screen where it clearly shows the staves with the notes that need to be played with both your hands.

One thing that I am disappointed within it though is that it does not come with a USB connection for easy connection to computer. I will need to buy a connector separately. Not sure if the other models mentioned here comes with a USB connection.

Casio CTK-2100 is Best Beginner Arranger Music Keyboard for under $200 US Dollars
by: Jay

I will be going in for the Casio CTK-2100 keyboard, seems to be a very good buy.

I am more interested in technology and computer music, so not much impressed with the lighted key keyboards. Nothing wrong with them, it's just that they do not seem to be my type. Same with Casio SA75 37-Key Keyboard, which seems to be for kids.

Ignoring the 76 keys as of now, don't need them yet.

Will stick to the 61 key Casio CTK-2100 keyboard!
