Any Yamaha PSR keyboard with more internal memory for style files?

Yamaha PSR i425 Keyboard

Hi,

I am currently using a Yamaha psr i425 keyboard. I really like it and since I am not professional its ok for me.

But what i want mostly from my keyboard is that I should be able to play the entire song with beats also. Most keyboards have western styles such as rock, jazz etc. but not Indian tabla beats.

The Yamaha psr i425 keyboard has them but then Indian styles and Hindi songs have so many variations, so it’s not possible to play all songs.

We can download external styles and use them as user styles but the problem is this Yamaha psr keyboard has only 373kb memory. I have access to Indian styles but because of this limitation of memory I can download only 20 music styles.

That’s the reason I am looking for a music keyboard that has more internal memory, or atleast USB connectivity to external storage devices from the Yamaha PSR series keyboards. Besides this, I am fairly satisfied with my PSR keyboard.

Can u suggest me any other Yamaha psr keyboard? What’s your opinion about the Yamaha psr s550b keyboard? Please let me know about it. Let me know of any other options as well.

Hi Sunil,

Glad to know that you are an advanced keyboard user and capable of creating your own user styles on your Yamaha psr keyboard!

I have heard that the Indian rhythms have their own uniqueness and some of them can be quite complicated. So great that you are able to program them on your own on your Yamaha PSR keyboard!

I know Yamaha can be quite stingy when it comes to internal memory, especially on their entry level psr keyboards.

But the Yamaha psr s550b keyboard is quite good that way; it has much more internal memory.

To be precise the internal memory is 1,895KB. In addition it also has a "USB TO DEVICE" slot for connecting to external storage devices. So I guess that takes care of your memory needs as far as Yamaha psr s550b keyboard is concerned.
