It is very common for experienced players to perform, rehearse or record in the studio for hours.

Yes, that is a fact!

Though they may not do it at a stretch, their playing sessions can easily span for a few hours. So what do you think they'll prefer in that case – a fixed one or an adjustable one?

Obviously, an adjustable piano stool that'll let them change the height!

Being able to maintain a good height means you'll be able to play comfortably for a longer period of time.

Play Seated or Standing
Some of the adjustable piano stools will let you play in both the positions - seated as well as standing. Most pro keyboard players play in both positions when onstage, and may vary their playing heights during the course of the show.

The fact that they've adjustable keyboard stand as well as adjustable piano stool means they can easily do that, and feel comfortable throughout the performance.

Some of these piano stools are foldable as well which makes them quite portable; another reason for them to be popular with the performing musicians.

What Should You Choose?

There is no doubt that these are handy equipments, the only reason that many may not prefer it is because of the price. But then experienced players do not mind paying more for the flexibility they get.

If you're the only one who plays the piano at home, then probably you may use the fixed height one, otherwise an adjustable one makes more sense in case the piano has several users at home.

I would any-day prefer an adjustable piano stool, even if I were the only one using it so that I can play for longer sessions. There are times when I am just too tired to sit erect, and just want to play some soothing songs for few minutes. I usually would prefer the stool to be at a slightly lower height than what I would use normally.

To Conclude
